According to BC Housing, in the first 10 months of 2024, 36,797 new homes were registered in B.C., including 5,042 single detached and 31,755 multi-unit homes. Given the Bank of Canada’s five rate cuts in 2024 and increased affordability, our founder, Sukhi Rai, is optimistic that the housing market will rebound in 2025. Experts, like Trevor Koot, CEO of the BC Real Estate Association (BCREA), also sees promising signs of a more balanced market particularly in the spring, when he told a radio audience recently that he expects a surge of activity from buyers who have been waiting for the right moment.
